SAN ANTONIO (AP) — Emily Carter scored 22 points but had her streak of consecutive free throws made snapped at 60 as No. 23 Texas Christian coasted to 83-59 victory over Texas-San Antonio on Friday night.

Helena Sverrisdottir added 18 points, and Starr Crawford had 17 points and 12 rebounds for the Horned Frogs (3-0).

Alysse Davis paced the Roadrunners (2-1) with 19 points and Amber Gregg added 13.

TCU pulled away in the last 10 minutes of the first half utilizing a zone defense that kept the Roadrunners from getting into any type of rhythm.

Carter, who had gone eight straight games without missing a free throw, hit her first 10 attempts from the stripe before missing Friday. She’s tied for second all-time behind Richmond’s Ginny Doyle, who hit 66 straight free throws from 1991-92.
