GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) — Jamal Webb, Patrick Mitchell and Aaron Anderson scored 11 points each to lead North Dakota to a 64-60 victory against Sacramento State on Friday night.
Trailing 21-20 at halftime, the Fighting Sioux (2-1) began the second half with consecutive 3-pointers by Webb and Spencer Goodman. Mitchell added a 3-pointer and three-point play during a 14-2 run over the first 4:22 of the half, and North Dakota never trailed afterward.
Sultan Toles-Bey had 19 points for Sacramento State (1-2) and hit two late 3-pointers, the second making the score 60-58 with nine seconds to play. But Anderson, who was 10 for 10 from the free-throw line in the last 2:03, hit four from the stripe to clinch the victory.
Duro Bjegovic added 14 points and John Dickson 10 for the Hornets.
