South Carolina routs Radford 85-56

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — South Carolina shook a chilly first 10 minutes to thrash Radford 85-56 on Friday night.

Sophomore guard Stephen Spinella continued his rapid improvement with his second career high in two games, scoring 15 points to lead the team. Freshman Brian Richardson had 11, while Lakeem Jackson and Bruce Ellington each scored 10.

The Gamecocks got at least four points from every player on the roster and out-rebounded Radford 51-34. Blake Smith had 14 points for the Highlanders (2-1) and three others each scored nine.

The Gamecocks (2-1) took a 30-point lead at halftime as every player on the team but one scored at least two points. The Gamecocks hit 11 three-pointers, including three each from Richardson and Spinella.
