Stormy’s Majesty wins Big A’s Discovery Handicap

NEW YORK (AP) — Stormy’s Majesty beat Not Abroad by two lengths in the $100,000 Discovery Handicap for 3-year-olds at Aqueduct.

The lone New York bred in the seven-horse field, Stormy’s Majesty improved to 5 for 8 with his first victory in open company.

Edgar Prado was aboard for trainer Dominic Galluscio as Stormy’s Majesty ran the 1 1-8 miles in 1:50.02 on the fast track.

Stormy’s Majesty dueled Golden Moka, the 5-2 favorite, for the lead before sprinting away at the top of the final turn Saturday. He was comfortably in command the rest of the way.

Stormy’s Majesty paid $9.10, $4.90 and $3.70. Not Abroad returned $6.40 and $3.50. Teaks North paid $4.10 to show.
