NEW ORLEANS (AP) — Seattle starting cornerback Marcus Trufant has gone to the sidelines with an apparent head injury during the Seahawks’ game against the New Orleans Saints on Sunday.

Trufant went down at the end of the Saints’ first scoring drive late in the first quarter after he appeared to take a hard shot to the helmet from running back Chris Ivory’s knee.

He remained on the sideline after being checked by trainers and doctors, but did not have his helmet with him.

The Seahawks did not provide immediate word on Trufant’s condition.
