SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. (AP) — A former Spokane County sheriff’s deputy with a history of driving under the influence has been charged with a felony after his latest arrest in Spokane Valley.

Police say 49-year-old James L. Crabtree was arrested Nov. 11 when he appeared to be passed out behind the wheel.

Crabtree resigned as a deputy in 1986. Police say he was convicted of vehicular assault in 2003 and DUI in 2007.
