HOFFMAN ESTATES, Ill. (AP) — Dan Geriot scored 18 points to pace Richmond to a 71-61 victory over Wright State on Friday in the Chicago Invitational Challenge.

Darien Brothers added 16 points, including 3-for-3 on 3-pointers, and Kevin Anderson scored 15 for the Spiders (5-1), who shot 52.4 percent (22 of 42) in winning their third straight.

N’Gai Evans scored 24 points to lead the Raiders (3-2). Vaughn Duggins added 19 and Troy Tabler 11.

Richmond outrebounded Wright State 36-24 and had an advantage at the foul line, making 20 of 29 to the Raiders’ 11 of 15.

Trailing 33-29, Wright State knocked down its last three shots — a 3-pointer by Evans and two by Cooper Land — to close the first half on a 9-3 run for a 38-36 lead.

But Geriot’s 3-pointer with 4:44 remaining put the Spiders ahead 60-57, and they built the final margin from there.
