SEATTLE (AP) — Authorities say a 51-year-old woman sought in a shooting that wounded the owner of a Seattle-area group home has surrendered.

Ayanna Shamari was booked into the King County Jail on Friday for investigation of first-degree assault and arson.

Shamari was a resident of the group home in the Skyway area south of Seattle.

KOMO-TV said the injured woman was in serious condition Friday at Harborview Medical Center.

King County sheriff’s Sgt. John Urquhart (URK’-hart) has described Wednesday’s shooting as unprovoked. He says the armed woman walked into the group home kitchen and started shooting. The sheriff’s office described the woman as very dangerous because of mental health issues.

Detectives say Shamari also set fire to her bedroom before driving off.
