ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (AP) — Buffalo Bills defensive end Dwan Edwards has been carted to the locker room after hurting his left hamstring early in the first quarter against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Edwards was hurt on the Steelers’ opening possession Sunday, when he fell awkwardly while being pushed from behind by center Maurkice Pouncey. Edwards lay on the field clutching his left leg before being helped up by trainers. He limped to the sideline before being loaded into a cart.

The team announced that Edwards hurt his hamstring, and his return is doubtful.

The Bills are already depleted at the position after opening the day minus Spencer Johnson, who missed his second game with a hamstring injury.
