CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) — Charlotte Bobcats forward Gerald Wallace might not miss any time after injuring his left elbow in a scary fall Saturday at the end of a loss to Milwaukee.
The team changed the diagnosis from a hyperextension to a contusion after Wallace received ice treatment and electric stimulation Sunday. X-rays were negative and Wallace will be listed as day-to-day ahead of a game Wednesday night at New Orleans.
Wallace was hurt while getting fouled on a drive to the basket with Charlotte trailing by two with 7.1 seconds left against the Bucks. Wallace couldn’t continue, and the Bucks chose Kwame Brown to come off the bench and take the foul shots. He missed the first attempt to preserve Milwaukee’s lead.
Wallace, an All-Star last season, is averaging 17.2 points.
