PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — Evergreen International Aviation Inc. has sold its unmanned plane business to Babcock International Group.
The Oregonian reported that Babcock’s VT Group, the U.S. arm of the British engineering and defense giant, has acquired Evergreen Unmanned Systems, a division of Evergreen International, based in McMinnville.

The Evergreen unit provides technical support to government and commercial users of unmanned aircraft systems, including training, logistics, operations, payload integration and testing.
Babcock officials said they expect the unmanned aircraft systems market to more than double over the next decade.
