ATLANTA (AP) — Phillies manager Charlie Manuel has picked right-hander Vance Worley and left-hander Cole Hamels as the starting pitchers for the final two regular-season games against the Braves.

Worley will start for the NL East champion Phillies against Atlanta’s Tommy Hanson on Saturday. Hamels will face Tim Hudson on Sunday.

Meanwhile, third baseman Placido Polanco returned to the team on Friday. He had a cortisone shot in his left elbow Wednesday in Philadelphia. Greg Dobbs started at third base in Friday night’s game against the Braves.

Jayson Werth, the regular in right field, made his 19th start in center field. Shane Victorino was away from the team as his wife gave birth to a boy on Thursday. Victorino is expected to return for Saturday’s game.
