PULLMAN, Wash. (AP) — A new report from the National Research Council finds that several doctoral programs at Washington State University are among national leaders.
The report evaluated more than 5,000 programs in 62 fields at 212 institutions. It looked at 37 programs at Washington State.
School president Elson S. Floyd said programs in molecular plant sciences, biological systems engineering, materials science and communications fall within the top 10 percent nationally. The school received a record total of $218 million in outside grants in the past fiscal year.
