CLEVELAND (AP) — Browns starting quarterback Jake Delhomme is inactive for the third straight week because of a badly sprained right ankle.
Delhomme returned to practice on Thursday for the first time since hurting his ankle in the season opener at Tampa Bay on Sept. 12. The Browns had hoped he would be able to play against Cincinnati, but backup Seneca Wallace will make his third straight start Sunday.
Delhomme was still very gimpy during practice on Friday.
Rookie Colt McCoy will be Cleveland’s No. 2 quarterback against the Bengals.
Browns wide receiver Brian Robiskie will miss his second game in a row with a hamstring injury, and running back James Davis is also out.
