PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — Searchers have once again converged on an outer northwest Portland island that has been a focal point of the hunt for a missing 7-year-old Oregon boy.

KATU-TV says Saturday’s search came a day after Kyron Horman’s mother asked the public to donate more money to the reward fund for finding her son.

Multnomah County Sheriff’s Public Information Officer Lt. Mary Lindstrand says 160 searchers participated on Sauvie Island Saturday. Searchers returned to the island Sunday.

Kyron has been missing since June 4, when he disappeared after a science fair at his elementary school. A reward of $50,000 has been offered for finding him.
