NEW YORK (AP) — Los Angeles Angels pitcher Jordany Gomez has been suspended for 50 games under baseball’s minor league drug program after testing positive for the performance-enhancing substances Phentermine and Mephentermine.

The pitcher, with the Angels’ Dominican Summer League team, was suspended Tuesday. He will serve the penalty at the start of next season.

There have been 85 suspensions this year under the minor league program. In addition, Cincinnati pitcher Edinson Volquez and Florida catcher Ronny Paulino were suspended under the major league program.
