PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — The fund to help find a missing Portland boy received a $541 donation from Oregon State Penitentiary inmates.
Three inmates — Samuel Williams, DAngelo Turner and Randy West — held fundraisers at dinners at the prison. Donations ranged from a dime to $50.
West, who is serving a life sentence on a murder conviction, told The Oregonian the inmates felt they needed to do their part as men, fathers and uncles to help find Kyron Horman.
Inmates earn no more than $35 a month behind bars.
