COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — Ohio State quarterback Terrelle Pryor is recovering from a leg injury and is expected to be ready to go against Indiana on Saturday.
But if Pryor isn’t quite 100 percent, his coach knows how to winnow an offense down to the very basics.
Pryor strained a muscle in his left thigh late in the third quarter of Saturday’s game at Illinois with the second-ranked Buckeyes gripping a 14-10 lead.
So coach Jim Tressel went with a minimized offense which was basically Pryor handing to tailback Dan Herron. It worked and No. 2 Ohio State (5-0, 1-0 Big Ten) won 24-13.
While Pryor is expected to fully recover, safety Tyler Moeller (torn pectoral) is out for the season.
