SEATTLE (AP) — Sound Transit will pay $476,000 for a Seattle home with cracks in the foundation and holes in the yard that were caused by the tunnel for the nearby Beacon Hill light rail station.

Sound Transit blames the contractor that bored the tunnel through Beacon Hill and expects it to pay the settlement with the homeowner.

KING-TV reports Sound Transit doesn’t plan to buy any other homes, although other families have complained about foundation cracks.
