TUMWATER, Wash. (AP) — Washington state regulators have suspended the license of a Lakewood nurse accused of having a sexual relationship with a man at the Special Commitment Center for sex predators on McNeil Island.

The Nursing Care Quality Assurance Commission said Tuesday that Barbara Ann Boardman’s behavior places patients at risk. The registered nurse cannot work in Washington until the allegations are resolved. She has 20 days to request a hearing with the commission.

The News Tribune of Tacoma reported Boardman began working at McNeil Island in 2005 and was fired in 2006.
