The Columbian
Published: October 8, 2010, 12:00am

When, where: 7 p.m. Friday at Toledo High School

Records: Stevenson (5-0, 3-0), Toledo (4-1, 3-0); 1A Trico League game

Game notes: Stevenson is averaging five points allowed per game this season. … Since a season-opening loss to Onalaska, Toledo also has played solid defense, limiting league foes to 8 points a game. … The teams have not played a common opponent this season. … Zach Castro threw for 213 yards in a win over Ridgefield last week, but was just 13 for 30 passes. … Castro also ran for 97 yards. … Toledo beat Kalama last week for the first time in 13 years … All of Toledo’s 21 points vs. Kalama came in the first half and they were all set up by turnovers. … Turnovers have played a big part in Toledo’s success this season. … Cody Meier rushed for 86 yards for Toledo.

Columbian’s take: This game will be battle of defenses and turnovers. But Stevenson looks to have a few more weapons on offense. If it’s soggy, that will be benefit the Indians. PICK: Stevenson
