Albany (N.Y.) shuts out St. Francis (Pa.) 48-0

ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) — Dan Di Lella threw two touchdown passes and Dillon Romain ran for two scores as Albany (N.Y.) shut out St. Francis (Pa.) 48-0 on Saturday.

The Great Danes (3-2, 1-1 Northeast Conference) scored on four of their first five possessions en route to a 24-0 halftime lead.

Di Lella, who was 16-for-20 for 170 yards, hit John Lullen with a 15-yard scoring pass in the first quarter and threw a 2-yard TD pass to Paul Booker in the third.

Romain, who had 15 carries for 58 yards, had scoring runs of 2 yards and 1 yard.

The Great Danes rolled up 417 total yards while holding the Red Flash to 81 yards, 29 passing and 52 rushing.

Drew Smith had a 17-yard touchdown run and backup QB Buddy Leathley threw an 8-yard TD to Rhakeem Wiggins. Herb Glass had field goals of 45 and 42 yards.

St. Francis (1-3, 1-2) lost two fumbles and had only three first downs.
