HANOVER, N.H. (AP) — Phillipe Panico banged in a 19-yard field goal off the right upright as time expired to give Yale a 23-20 win over Dartmouth on Saturday.

Chris Stanley gave the Bulldogs (3-1, 2-0 Ivy League) possession on the final drive after recovering a fumble on the Dartmouth 47. Stanley forced the fumble from Nick Schwieger after the Big Green receiver caught an 11-yard pass from Connor Kempe.

Yale then used four plays, including a 28-yard pass from Patrick Witt to Jordan Forney, to set up the game-winner.

Witt finished with 238 yards and a touchdown on 28-for-37 passing, and Mordecai Cargill had 126 yards on 18 carries for the Bulldogs.

Shawn Abuhoff’s 41-yard punt return tied it at 20 with 6:19 remaining.

Schwieger had 128 yards and a touchdown on 26 carries and Michael Reilly finished with 124 yards on four carries for the Big Green (2-2, 0-2).
