CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (AP) — Matt Scheible ran for one touchdown and threw for another Saturday night to lead Southeast Missouri past Tennessee State 19-17.

Scheible finished with 128 yards rushing and 49 yards passing for the Redhawks (5-1, 4-0 Ohio Valley), who compiled 390 yards on the ground in the game.

Henry Harris ran for 188 yards and a TD for the Redhawks (5-1, 4-0 Ohio Valley), who led 19-3 at the half. They missed the extra point after the first score and then missed the 2-point try after the second.

Terrance Wright scored on runs of 6 and 9 yards, the second with 6:43 remaining, to draw the Tigers (3-3, 0-2) close. But Tennessee State couldn’t complete the comeback as the Redhawks kept possession of the ball for the last four minutes.
