PHILADEPHIA (AP) — President Barack Obama is imploring Democrats to show him the energy and motivation that helped carry him to power in 2008.
Obama told a spirited Philadelphia rally on Sunday that his agenda is at stake in next month’s elections, with Republicans determined to keep blocking him at every turn.
Vice President Joe Biden joined the president at the rally, the second of four big ones designed to re-ignite the excitement of Obama’s climb to the White House and counter the enthusiasm of the other side.
As he put it to the crowd, “We need you as fired up as you were in 2008.”
