A Battle Ground man was taken to the hospital Saturday morning after a three-vehicle crash on state Highway 503.

The crash occurred at about 10:45 a.m. on the highway, just north of Padden Parkway.

Vancouver resident Vyacheslav Zayets, 30, was driving a 2005 Audi southbound on the highway. Battle Ground resident Aaron Zimmerman, 35, was also heading south in a 1997 Mercedes-Benz when the two drivers stopped for traffic, according to Washington State Patrol.

The driver of a third vehicle, 38-year-old Jennifer Stillson of Battle Ground, failed to stop and struck Zimmerman’s vehicle. The impact pushed Zimmerman’s vehicle into Zayets’ vehicle, according to police.

Zimmerman was transported to Legacy Salmon Creek Medical Center with neck pain. He was not a patient at the hospital Saturday night, according to a hospital spokesman.

Stillson, who was driving a 2007 Kia Sedona, was cited for driving too fast for the conditions.
