WESTPORT, Ore. (AP) — With daylight Monday officials are resuming the search for a man who fell overboard from a sailboat Sunday in the Columbia River between Westport, Ore., and Cathlamet, Wash.

The Coast Guard says the 46-year-old man was not wearing a life jacket when he fell from his 65-foot vessel, leaving three older children on board. They are OK.

The Coast Guard searched with a boat from Ilwaco and helicopter from Astoria and suspended its search Sunday night. A local Oregon fire department and Wahkiakum County, Wash., sheriff’s office boat also searched for the man.
