NEW YORK (AP) — The manager for the former New York Jets game hostess who was the recipient of racy text messages allegedly sent by Brett Favre says a “proper resolution” to the case is more important than a fast one.

The NFL is investigating allegations made by the sports website Deadspin that the Minnesota Vikings quarterback sent photos and messages to Jenn Sterger in 2008.

“This is something that allegedly happened two years ago,” Phil Reese said in an e-mail to The Associated Press. “We don’t want a quick resolution, but the proper resolution.”

He declined to say whether his client has talked with the NFL. Commissioner Roger Goodell has said the league is looking into the matter.
