Walla Walla says purple octopus mural must go

WALLA WALLA, Wash. (AP) — Nearly 100 people turned out for Monday’s city council meeting in Walla Walla, urging the city to allow a large mural of a purple octopus on a downtown toy store.

The owner says it’s art, but the city attorney says it violates the city’s sign code.
