SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) — The Spokane bomb squad has blown up a suspicious package that was found near Deaconess Medical Center.

Some nearby streets were closed for a time after the package was found Wednesday morning.

Police spokeswoman Jennifer DeRuwe says there was never any threatening message, just a bag that could have been discarded or left behind.
