Elderly woman dies in Kent house fire

KENT, Wash. (AP) — Firefighters have found a woman dead in a house fire at Kent.

Valley Regional Battalion Chief Kevin Olson told KOMO Radio the woman was found dead in the kitchen.

Neighbors had told firefighters the elderly woman lived alone.

Two cats also died in the fire that was reported about 4 a.m. Friday.
