Go Forth North wins Ramser Handicap

INGLEWOOD, Calif. (AP) — Go Forth North edged All Due Respect by a nose Sunday in the $100,000 Harold C. Ramser Sr. Handicap for 3-year-old fillies at the Oak Tree meeting at Hollywood Park.

Ridden by David Flores for trainer A.C. Avila, Go Forth North was eight early, moved up to second at the top of the stretch and passed All Due Respect in the final strides, covering a mile on the turf in 1:34.48.

Go Forth North paid $18.20, $8.80 and $4.60. All Due Respect returned $11.20 and $5.80. Antares World, the heavy favorite, paid $3.20 to show.

It was the third victory in 11 starts for Go Forth North. The filly earned $60,000 to push her career total to $171,164.
