VANCOUVER, Wash. (AP) — Vice President Joe Biden is speaking to a standing-room-only crowd of about 600 supporters of Sen. Patty Murray.
Biden was the headliner Tuesday at a get-out-the vote rally at Vancouver’s Pearson Air Museum, supporting Murray and 3rd Congressional District candidate Denny Heck.
Murray, a three-term incumbent, is in a competitive re-election contest against Republican Dino Rossi. Heck and Republican Jaime Herrera are vying for the U.S. House seat being vacated by retiring Democrat Brian Baird.
Biden also campaigned for Murray earlier this month in Tacoma. His latest visit comes a day after former President Bill Clinton campaigned with Murray in Everett. President Barack Obama will be in Seattle on Thursday for another Murray event.
