MILTON-FREEWATER, Ore. (AP) — The Umatilla County sheriff’s office says a 5- or 6-year-old child died in a house fire early Tuesday near Milton-Freewater.
A deputy tells KNDU-TV the mother and four other children escaped.
Investigators say the fire started with a wood stove.
