PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — The Oregon unemployment rate did not budge again in September, marking the 11th straight month without any change.

The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate was 10.6 percent last month, unchanged from August.

The jobless rate has been stuck between 10.5 percent and 10.7 percent for the last 11 months.

The national unemployment rate was 9.6 percent in September, also unchanged from August.

The total number of unemployed Oregonians in September was just over 196,000 — but that was the fewest since December 2008, when about 173,000 were jobless.
