Olympia teen killed in speeding car crash

OLYMPIA, Wash. (AP) — The Washington State Patrol says speed killed an 18-year-old driver from Olympia.

Trooper Brandy Kessler says William Johnston was speeding Tuesday night when he lost control of his car on a Thurston County road and crashed into a pole and fence. He died at the scene.

Two 17-year-old passengers had minor injuries.
