BEND, Ore. (AP) — Bend police say they have found a baseball bat apparently used in a beating death.
The aluminum bat was found Thursday in thick brush near an intersection.
Investigators believe it was used in the slaying last Saturday of 36-year-old Matthew Fitzhenry in Bend. His 25-year-old roommate is held on an unrelated charge and police expect he’ll be charged in the death.
