1A Trico football: Ridgefield 28, Toledo 14

Dylan Young rushed for 108 yards and three touchdown, including two in the fourth quarter as the Spudder knocked off first-place Toledo.

Young’s first touchdown — an 18-yard run — got Ridgefield even 7-7 in the first quarter. Clay Barton completed a 15-yard TD pass to Craig Horn to give Ridgefield 14-7 lead at halftime.

Young also caught three passes for 47 yards. Ridgefield is now 6-0 this season when Young rushes for 100 yards or more.

Next up: Ridgefield (6-2, 5-2) vs. Ilwaco; Toledo (6-2, 5-1) at Castle Rock
