LIVERPOOL, England (AP) — Liverpool’s new owners have appointed two of their officials to the board of the English Premier League club.
New England Sports Ventures vice chairman David Ginsberg and investor Michael Gordon have been made directors and will attend Sunday’s Premier League match at Anfield against Blackburn.
NESV principal owner John Henry is ill and will not attend the match but plans to watch it from home.
Liverpool is next to last in the standings after its worst start to a season for 57 years.
Henry says “we are hard at work setting a course for the future including the search for a chief executive officer.”
