Windy forecast prompts cancellation of Farmers Market on Sunday

Forecasts for windy conditions has led organizers to close the Vancouver Farmers Market on Sunday.

The National Weather Service is forecasting south to southwest winds of 14-18 mph with gusts as high as 30 mph. The chance of rain is 100%.

Next weekend will be the final weekend of the season for the market. The downtown location will be open Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 30 and Oct. 31, and on Saturday at the east location, with special Halloween festivities on Saturday.
