MISSOULA, Mont. (AP) — A single-vehicle accident in Montana has killed a 32-year-old Oregon man and landed the Missoula driver behind bars.

Missoula police Sgt. Travis Welch tells KGVO radio that a 911 call reporting the crash near Sacagawea Park came in just before 11 p.m. Tuesday.

Welch says 36-year-old Daniel Rogers apparently missed a turn, drove through the park and crashed on the other side.

Rogers and his unidentified passenger were taken to St. Patrick Hospital in Missoula, where the second man died.

Rogers was later released and booked into the Missoula County Jail.

An arraignment hearing is scheduled for Wednesday.
