Lindley leads San Diego State over Wyoming 48-38

LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) — Ryan Lindley passed for 365 yards and three touchdowns and Brandon Sullivan scored on three short runs to lead San Diego State past Wyoming 48-38 Saturday.

SDSU (6-2, 3-1 Mountain West) is now eligible for a bowl for the first time since 1998 when the Aztecs played North Carolina in the Las Vegas Bowl. Its six wins this season surpass its win total in any of the last six seasons.

Lindley had TD passes of 56 and 59 yards to DeMarco Sampson, who had seven catches for 175 yards. Lindley also connected with D.J. Shields on a 14-yard score. Vincent Brown caught five passes for 144 yards.

Sullivan scored all his TDs on 1-yard runs. They were the first rushing touchdowns by the Aztecs at War Memorial Stadium since 2000.

Austyn Carta-Samuels led the Cowboys (2-7, 0-5) with 186 yards and three TDs in the air and 51 yards rushing and a score on the ground.
