South Carolina State defeats Delaware State 38-21

DOVER, Del. (AP) — Chris Merrill scored two touchdowns and ran for 160 yards in South Carolina State’s 38-21 win over Delaware State on Saturday.

The Bulldogs (6-2, 4-1 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) trailed 7-0 before scoring 24 straight.

Malcolm Long started the spurt on a 50-yard pass to Antwanne Kerr with 5:09 left in the second quarter for the only offensive touchdown during the Bulldogs’ streak.
