MCMINNVILLE, Ore. (AP) — McMinnville, Ore., police say an out-of-state caller alerted them to a video on Facebook that showed two 9-year-old boys fighting violently while adult voices cheered them on.

McMinnville police Capt. Dennis Marks said Friday the caller thought the incident had occurred in the city southwest of Portland and called his department on Oct. 17.

Officers identified the fight location, learned the boys lived nearby and obtained search warrants for two homes. Marks says they found rotten food, dirty dishes and inadequate edible food for the children.

The spokesman says the children have been removed from the homes.

Four adults were arrested and jailed Friday on a grand jury indictment. Detectives allege they are the people whose voices are audible on the video. Marks says they include a man and a woman from each house. They’re to be arraigned Monday on charges including assault, strangulation and reckless endangering.
