The city of Camas will hold a dedication ceremony for the Washougal River Greenway trail and bridge completed this summer.

The ceremony will begin at 3 p.m. today at the Washougal River Greenway at Southeast Yale Street and Northeast Second Avenue.

The project included creating 1.1 miles of trail, building a 370-foot pedestrian bridge and installing a water main to transfer water from the well on the south side of the river to residents on the north side.

The entire project cost about $3.7 million. In 2007, the city received nearly $900,000 from the state Recreation and Conservation Office for bridge and trail construction.
