Idaho blanks North Dakota 45-0

MOSCOW, Idaho (AP) — Nate Enderle threw for 311 yards and two touchdowns to lead Idaho to a 45-0 victory over North Dakota Thursday night in the season opener for both teams.

Enderle, who left the game late in the third quarter with Idaho in control, was 24 for 37 with one interception. The Vandals posted their first shutout since 1997.

Princeton McCarty ran for 89 yards and two touchdowns for Idaho, which led 17-0 at halftime. The Vandals began the second half with a successful onside kick that Eric Greenwood recovered. Greenwood later caught one of Enderle’s scoring passes.

Idaho finished the night with 547 yards of total offense while North Dakota finished with 270.

Jake Landry threw for 122 yards for North Dakota, but was intercepted twice.
