PESHAWAR, Pakistan (AP) — Police say a suicide attack on a mosque belonging to a minority sect in northwest Pakistan has killed at least one person.

Police official Taj Din says several people were also wounded in the attack on the Ahmadi mosque in the town of Mardan.

Pakistan has seen a recent series of attacks on religious minorities, including a triple suicide attack Wednesday night that killed 35 people at a Shiite ceremony in the eastern city of Lahore. Many of the attacks have been claimed by the hardline Sunni Pakistani Taliban.
