NEW DELHI (AP) — Officials say four Indian wrestlers who were to compete at next month’s Commonwealth Games have had their “B” samples test positive for doping.

Rajiv Tomar, Mausam Khatri and Sumit Kumar, and women’s wrestler Gursharanpreet Kaur tested positive last week for the banned stimulant methylhexaneamine along with two others who were not part of the Commonwealth Games squad.

They had already been suspended by the Wrestling Federation of India but requested for their “B” samples be tested. Dr. PSM Chandran, who works with the National Anti-Doping Agency, says the “B” tests confirmed the presence of methylhexaneamine.

All four wrestlers will get an opportunity to present their cases to a panel, which will decide on the punishment.
