ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (AP) — The Buffalo Bills have signed fullback Corey McIntyre to a two-year, $1.85 million contract extension that runs through the 2012 season.
The deal could be worth more if McIntyre meets several incentive clauses and comes as he prepares for his third year in Buffalo and sixth in the NFL.
After practice Monday, McIntyre was pleased with the confidence the Bills showed in him by approaching his agent last month to discuss the possibility of a new contract.
Used as a fullback and on special teams, he has five carries for 34 yards and nine catches for 54 yards in 26 games with the Bills. He also played in Cleveland, New Orleans and Atlanta.
ProFootballTalk.com first reported the extension on its website earlier in the day.
