BEREA, Ohio (AP) — Browns nose tackle Shaun Rogers has returned to practice after missing training camp and Cleveland’s exhibition season while recovering from a leg injury.
Rogers missed the final five games last season after breaking his leg. Browns coach Eric Mangini said Rogers, a three-time Pro Bowler, could play in the season opener on Sunday at Tampa Bay.
Rogers avoided a possible NFL suspension for an offseason weapons charge, when he carried a loaded gun into Hopkins Airport. The league decided to fine him and docked him a one-game paycheck — roughly $400,000 — for violating its personal conduct policy.
